About
Precise places, simple links.
Loc8ID turns an exact GPS coordinate into a short, memorable link and QR code — so the place you mean is the place people land, down to the doorway.
The problem
Why we built it
Addresses are surprisingly bad at describing where something actually is. A street number covers a whole building; a pin dropped in a chat loses its precision the moment it's forwarded; "it's near the corner" gets a driver to the corner and no further.
We wanted a way to capture a single, exact point — the loading bay, the trailhead, the side entrance, the seat in the park — and share it as easily as any other link. No app to install, no account required to open it, and it opens straight into whatever map you already use.
The difference
What makes it different
Pinpoint, not approximate
Every Loc8ID is a precise coordinate, so people arrive at the exact spot — not the general vicinity.
A link anyone can open
Share a short URL or QR code. It opens in Google Maps, Apple Maps, Waze and more — no app, no sign-up to view.
Memorable by design
Claim a custom alias and group related places into collections you can share as one.
A discovery layer
Curated City Guides pin thousands of genuinely notable places worldwide — every one a real Loc8ID.
Where it shines
Built for the real world
Anywhere "near the building" isn't good enough.
Share your first precise location
No account needed to get started — create one, send the link, watch them land in the right spot.
